We wanted to iportray the modern version of what is a historical label of Villa Petriolo, going towards the current needs of wine lovers: easé of drinkability, strong gustative intensity, without exceeding too much in simplicity or heaviness..IN THE VINEYARD AND IN THE WINERY:
In the “Golpaja” land (today Volpaia) there was the ancient furnace of Petriolo where the bricks were built for the construction of the Villa owned by Cosimo I dei Medici in Cerreto Guidi. A name and a vineyard inextricably linked to the history of Cerreto Guidi and Tuscany. Sangiovese and a small percentage of Merlot. Vinification in steel and aged in concrete. Then rest in the bottle for at least 6 months.
