Truffle and Leonardo

A cultural-culinary day dedicated to truffles, olive oil and…Leonardo da Vinci!

Your day in the Land of Leonardo begins with a walk in the woods, accompanied by an expert truffle hunter and his dog, the symbiotic duo that brings the so-called white gold to our tables. How do you train a truffle dog? How do you become a truffle hunter? And how do you handle this fruit of the undergrowth? All your questions will be answered, but most of all you will be able to taste it at the table!

The second stop is at the olive oil mill, for a tasting of extra virgin olive oil, the champion product of these hills. Here, another producer will welcome you, and will be at your disposal to explain the entire production chain of olive oil, which includes selecting the best olives, harvesting them by hand and finally pressing them.

On the way back, we’ll stop at the birth house of Leonardo da Vinci in Anchiano, and then at the historical village of Vinci, where you will have time to visit the Leonardo Museum, an immersion in the mind of a genius. This experience will interest both young and old as you discover Leonardo’s most surprising inventions: the motor wagon, revolving crane, underwater operator, mechanical wings and several other pre-modern intuitions.

A driver will come pick you up and bring you back to your hotel at the end of the day.
